We are a small, select breeder of Pure-blooded Lusitano horses located in Alachua, FL. We first met the Lusitano horse in 2014. In that moment, we knew this was a horse that needed representation in the United States, and have since been working to establish our farm, select our breeding mares, and work toward establishing the Purebred Lusitano in the United States.
Our horses are registered with Associação Portuguesa de Criadores do Cavalo Puro Sangue Lusitano, or APSL for short, through the US Lusitano Association, Inc. (www.uslusitano.org).
The mission of Taltonia Ranch is to educate the public about the Purebred Lusitano, strive to bring the best blood lines from Portugal to build the breed in the United States, and promote this all around horse, locally and nationally!
